Christian News Northwest is a monthly tabloid-size newspaper serving the evangelical Christian community in Portland and Salem, Ore., Vancouver, Wash., and dozens of surrounding communities throughout western and central Oregon and southwest Washington.
Our ministry news-oriented publication has a monthly circulation of 29,000 copies. It is available free of charge at 1,700 locations, including hundreds of churches as well as bookstores, agencies, libraries, schools, businesses and public locations.
Christian News Northwest has been published since June 1994 by a non-profit corporation, Christian News Northwest Ministries, Inc. of Newberg, Ore.
CNNW Founding Editor and Publisher is John Fortmeyer, who has a 35-year background in professional newspaper work throughout the Pacific Northwest. Advertising director is Eric Lee Stiller. Joining Fortmeyer on the ministry’s board of directors are Art Heerwagen of Hillsboro, OR and Eric Lee Stiller of Portland, OR.
Each issue of the newspaper features “The Northwest Book Reviewer,” a monthly column by Washington resident Gail Welborn that focuses specifically on Christian books written by Oregon and Washington writers. For more information, contact Gail at gail.welborn@frontier.com
