    33rd annual Life Chain event, at locations in Salem, Stayton Clatskanie and in communities throughout the nation. Clatskanie activities are 1 to 2 p.m. at S. Nehalem Street and U.S. Hway 30, with signs available at the city park at 12:45 p.m.  Salem activities are 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.  on Lancaster Drive and at Broadway and Liberty streets, and Stayton site at the same time is at First Street and Fern Ridge Road. Life Chains are peaceful shows of concern over the millions of lives lost to abortion each year, with participants prayerfully holding signs along roads. lifechain.org

        Ultimate Hunt’s Summit Education Adventure Weekend on Mount St. Helens, first of two consecutive days, starting at the Climbers Bivouac trailhead, Cougar, Wash. 98616.   Co-sponsored by Mount St. Helens Creation Center in Castle Rock, Wash. and Glen’s Gizmos.  Recommended minimum age 12. Today is a focus on the mountain from a creation science perspective, followed by a barbecue.
