The lab portion this morning is at the Multnomah University science house, 521 N.E. 87th Ave., Portland 97220.  Led by Keith Swenson of Multnomah, participants will learn to identify various conifer species. On Monday, Oct. 19, they will car caravan to the Mount Hood National Forest, meeting in Hood River at the Starbucks by the Hood River Bridge. creationencounter.com
    Ultimate Hunt’s Summit Education Adventure Weekend on Mount St. Helens, first of two consecutive days, starting at the Climbers Bivouac trailhead, Cougar, Wash. 98616.   Co-sponsored by the Mount St. Helens Creation Center in Castle Rock, Wash. and Glen’s Gizmos.  Recommended minimum age is 12. Today is a focus on the mountain from a creation science perspective, followed by a barbecue.
